Arsenal bid for Argentine international

Arsenal have made a bid for Argentine international Nahuel Molina.

That is according to reports in Italy which suggests that his current club Udinese are bracing themselves for his departure.

The Gunners are considering bringing in a new right-back to compete with Takehiro Tomiyasu who suffered from his fair share of injuries during his first season at the Emirates.

Hector Bellerín is back at the club following his loan spell with Real Betis, but his future lies away from North London, whilst Molina represents an upgrade on Cedric Soares.

Molina is certainly a more attacking option than Takehiro, who often functions as a third centre-half, scoring eight goals and providing five assists for Udinese last season statistics that see him rival Trent Alexander-Arnold as one of the most attacking right backs in Europe.

It has been suggested that the Serie A side have received a bid of around £25 million for the player.
