Benfica are the latest club to show an interest in Arsenal goalkeeper Bernd Leno.
The German international lost his place as Gunners number one to Aaron Ramsdale at the start of the season and looks set to leave the club this summer, especially as the American Matt Turner has already been signed as his replacement.
Leno has been linked with a several clubs in the Premier League and also with a return to Germany, but now Portuguese champions Benfica are also ready to throw their hat in the ring.
Now 30 years old, Leno made the move to the Emirates from Bayer Leverkusen in 2018, and has made 125 appearances in all competitions for the North London side,
He has nine international caps for Germany, but his lack of recent first=team involvement is likely to have put paid to any hopes he might have had of being included in their World Cup squad for Qatar later this year.
