Gallagher and Broja to get pre-season chance

Conor Gallagher and Armando Broja will be given their chance to impress Thomas Tuchel in pre-season training before any decision is made about their Chelsea futures.

Both have enjoyed productive loan spells away from the club this season, Gallagher with Crystal Palace and Broja with Southampton.

Gallagher’s form, in particular, has seen him capped by England and he has a realistic chance of making Gareth Southgate’s World Cup squad. That has led some Chelsea fans to assume he would be an automatic starter at Stamford Bridge next season, but Tuchel has sounded a note of caution, saying “It’s too early to predict the future for them in the role of the whole season but they will be back in pre-season for sure.”

Given the uncertainty surrounding the sale at the moment, the German is probably wise or downplay expectations. At the same time he will also be aware that, if it is decided that their futures do not le at Stamford Bridge, he has two highly saleable assets on his hands.
