Chelsea want to sign highly rated Brighton left-back Marc Cucurella in the summer.
However, they face competition with both Manchester City and Tottenham reported to be interested in the player who is valued at £30 million.
The Spaniard, with his distinctive hair style, has made a big impression in his first season in English football following his £15 move from Getafe last August.
He recently scored his first Premier League goal against Manchester United and has just been voted Brighton’s Player of the Year.
The 23-year old actually began his career in Barcelona, first with Espanyol and then with Barcelona itself. However, he never played a senior game for them and was loaned instead to Getafe who activated an option to make the move permanent.
Brighton do not want to sell him, but are realistic enough to accept that selling players such as him for a substantial profit helps them balance the books.
