Chelsea are being linked with Burnley forward Maxwell Cornet.
The Ivory Coast international has been one of the bright spots in what has been a difficult season for the Lancashire club, and has scored eight goals in 24 Premier League appearances.
However, he has a £17.5 million release clause in his contract that will be activated should the club re relegated to the Championship at the end of the season.
They are currently 18th in the table and re contending with Leeds United and Everton for the last relegation spot. They are one point worse off than Leeds but have a game in hand on them.
Cornet’s potential availability has awakened the interest of a number of clubs, with Chelsea rumoured to be among them, and a move to West London would certainly appeal to the player who has previously spoken of his desire to emulate the achievements of his idol, Didier Drogba.
