Manchester United are consider a surprise move for Chelsea midfielder N’Golo Kanté.
The 31-year old French international has only one year left on his current deal at Stamford Bridge, and, although he has been an excellent servant for Chelsea, injuries have begun to take their toll this season.
He has only started 19 league games for them and was only fit enough to come off the bench in the FA Cup Final against Liverpool on Saturday.
With Thomas Tuchel looking to rejuvenate his squad once the takeover is finally approved, Kanté could be surplus to requirements in West London.
Despite his recent injury problems, Kanté is still regarded as a significant upgrade on what new manager Erik ten Hag has at his disposal and, whilst he may not be a long-term solution, he is still regarded as a man who could do a good job at Old Trafford whilst the club is stabilised.
