Chelsea are reported to have reached an agreement to sign Ivan Perišić from Inter Milan on a free transfer.
Nothing though can be approved or confirmed until their takeover by the consortium fronted by Todd Boehly gets the green light from the UK government.
The Croat international, who is now 33, has been with Inter since 2015, but his contract is coming to an end shortly, and now it looks like the wing back is heading to West London.
That is subject to the final contractual terms being ironed out and him passing a medical.
If he is to leave the Serie A club he does so on a high note, with his extra time brace against Juventus earlier this week enough to enable Inter to win the Coppa Italia.
He spent the 2019 – 2020 season on loan with Bayern Munich where he lifted more silverware, including the Champions League.
