Now that the ownership position seems finally to be sorted out, Chelsea can begin planning for the summer transfer window.
There are a number of priorities, but central defence is top of the list, with both Andreas Christensen and Antonio Rüdiger set to leave the club at the end of the season on free contracts. Both are bound for Spain, the Dane heading to Barcelona, whilst the German will be joining Real Madrid.
Multiple names have been suggested as possible targets, but one candidate who seems to be gaining particular traction is Gleison Bremer, currently playing in Serie A for Torino.
The 25-year old Brazilian has been scouted several times by Chelsea already this season and he appears io fit the bill to replace Rüdiger. An aggressive centre-back used to playing on the left-side of a back three, who combines physicality with speed and tackling.
Whether he could adapt to the pace of the Premier League is difficult to gauge.
