Arsenal are preparing a bid of £35 million for Manchester City striker Gabriel Jesus.
The 25-year old Brazilian will have one year left on his current contract at the Etihad, and has become dissatisfied with his lack of playing time this season under Pep Guardiola.
His chances are expected to become even more limited if City sign Erling Haaland, from Borussia Dortmund, which is expected to be announced imminently.
Negotiations between Edu, Arsenal’s technical director, and the player’s representatives on personal terms are reported to be well advanced, although there has been no direct contact between the two clubs yet.
However, that may be about to change with the Gunners set to table an offer.
Jesus, himself, is reported to be open to the offer which will see him reunite with his assistant coach at City in the form of now Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta.
