Jorginho will stay at Chelsea

Jorginho will remain at Chelsea this summer.

The Italian international will have just 12 months left on his current deal at the end of the season, and, with it seeming unlikely that he would be offered a new contract, there has been widespread speculation that he could be set for a return to Italy.

Juventus and both Milan clubs are reported to be interested in the former Napoli player, who followed Maurizio Sarri to Stamford Bridge.

However, the player’s agent João Santo has confirmed that he will remain at Stamford Bridge this summer, and that he remains fully committed to the West London club.

Despite some struggles with form and fitness, he remains a key figure in Thomas Tuchel’s team, and has started 22 games so far this season.

Last Sunday he deprived Bruno Fernandes the honour of worst penalty of the weekend when his hop, skip and jump effort from 12 yards was directed straight at West Ham’s Lukasz Fabianski.
