Atlético Madrid want to sign Arsenal defender William Saliba, with Diego Simeone reported to be a big fan of the young Frenchman.
The 21-year old, who was signed from Saint-Étienne for £27 million in the summer of 2019, has never played a senior game for the North London club.
Instead he has undergone at series of loan moves, first back at Saint-Étienne, then wit Nice, and, this season at Marseille where his form has been so good that he earned a recent call-up to the French national squad.
He is due to return to the Emirates at the end of the season, where he still ahs two years left om his contract.
However, given that he has struggled to convince Mikel Arteta that he should be an integral part of his side, there is a decision to be made.
Keep him to add squad depth and have a potentially unhappy player on their hands or sell him for a profit.
