Arsenal are interested in signing Austrian midfielder Florian Grillitsch who will be available on a tree transfer this summer.
He is currently playing for Bundesliga side Hoffenheim, but bis deal ends in June, meaning that he can now negotiate with foreign clubs and sign a pre-contract agreement.
The Gunners are looking to strength their options in the middle of the field, with Mohamed Elneny set to leave the club when his own contract finishes at the end of the season.
They face competition from several other Premier League clubs, including Everton and Leeds United, and other teams in Germany and Spain are also monitoring the 26-year old.
Grillitsch began his professional career with Werder Bremen, making the move to Hoffenheim in 2017.He has gone on to play for them 150 times in all competitions, scoring eight times. He has earned 33 senior caps for Austria, and can also play centre-back if required.
