The futures of both Marina Granovskaia and Petr Cech at Chelsea are both uncertain amidst continued speculation as to who will be the club’s new owners.
Granovskaia, in particular, has a key role at the club and she is in charge of all the club’s transfer business, as well as the renegotiation of contracts with existing players.
And, whilst all four preferred bidders are reportedly in agreement that they would like her to stay, she has so far refused to commit herself beyond the end of the season.
The Russian-Canadian has a long standing relationship with Roman Abramovich dating back well before their time at Chelsea together, and there have been suggestions that she may join him in a new venture, with the oligarch set to buy the Turkish club Goztepe.
Cech’s role as technical and performance adviser at the club is also thought to be dependent on who ultimately takes ownership.
