Arsenal are considering a move in the summer for Aston Villa centre-back Ezri Konsa.
The Gunners are in the market for another centre-back this summer as they look to fill out their squad, and have been alerted to Konsa’s potential availability with news that Villa are prepared to listen to offers for the 24-year old.
He still has four years left on his current Villa contract. But with Steven Gerrard ready to overhaul his defence in the summer, he may not be first choice in the West Midlands next season.
Konsa is originally from London, having begun his career with Charlton, before joining Brentford in 2018.
Villa signed him for an undisclosed fee a year later, and he is closing in on 100 appearances in all competitions.
He has been capped seven times by England at under-21 level.
