Real Betis want to convert the loan move of Arsenal full-back Hector Bellerin into a permanent deal.
The 27-year old moved to the Seville side last August in search of a new challenge after falling down the pecking order at the Emirates. He ahs since gone on to make 28 appearances for them, in all competitions.
Bellerin grew up supporting Betis as a child and has made no secret of his desire to stay with them beyond the end of the current campaign.
Arsenal would have no objections if the price were right. A succession of injuries had robbed the full-back of the yard of pace that had made him such a bright prospect when he first broke through at the Emirates, and it is likely that he would just be a squad player at best next season.
His current deal at the Emirates expires in 2023.
