Werner’s agent on Italian tour

It is reported that Timo Werner’s agent has been on an Italian tour trying to find his client a new club.

Volker Streuth has met with representatives from Atalanta, Juventus and AC Milan, as it increasingly looks like the German striker could be Italy bound at the end of the season (presuming that Chelsea are able to transact transfer business by then).

It is a clear indication that his time in West London may be drawing to an end after two unsuccessful seasons at Stamford Bridge.

Bought form RB Leipzig in the summer of 2020 for £47.5 million, he has failed to justify that price tag since his time in England, and his goal return of 19 in 81 appearances is far below what was expected of him.

He still ahs three years left in his current contract, but Chelsea would be happy to see him leave if they receive an appropriate offer.
