The Gunners are platting an ambitious plan to sign Manchester United striker Marcus Rashford.
The England striker has not been in the best of form this season, and came under fire from United fans after the Champions League exit at the hands of Atlético Madrid.
Although he downplayed suggestions afterwards that there is something seriously wrong behind the scenes at Old Trafford, there has been speculation that he may be looking to leave Manchester in order to revive a career that promised so much, but has been derailed over the past year. He has only made nine Premier League starts this season and scored just five times, and has temporarily at least. Lost his place in Gareth Southgate’s England squad.
He still has one year plus an option for a further 12 months on his current United deal.
Whether United would want to see a man tipped to become their record goalscorer join a direct rival is another thing entirely.
