Both Arsenal and Tottenham are in the running to sign right-back Djed Spence in the summer.
Spence has been on loan this season T Nottingham Forest from his parent club Middlesbrough, and his performances have sparked interest from top Premier League clubs and abroad.
He was one of the stars when Forest knocked the Gunners out of the FA Cup at the third round stage.
The 21 year old joined Middlesbrough three years ago after being released by Fulham as a 17-year old, and told he would not make the grade.
Having broken into the first-team of the promotion hopefuls, it was something of a surprise when they allowed him to leave for the East Midlands on loan.
However, his stay there has worked out for them because he is expected to command a club record fee if he is sold this summer.
Bayern Munich are among the clubs also tracking his progress.
