Arsenal have been linked with a player who has been dubbed as a future Patrick Vieira, the former club legend who was inducted into the Premier League Hall of Fame last week.
Lesley Ugochukwu may still only be 18, but he has already made as made appearances for Ligue 1 Rennes this season.
The Gunners have been tracking the young defensive midfielder for some time and would like to sign him in the summer.
They may face competition for his services from their traditional great rivals, with Tottenham also tracking his situation.
Given his age it is unlikely he would be ready for the first-team just yet at the Emirates, but the club is deliberately opting for a policy of signing young talent, so it would not be a surprise. If he were to sign, if he were given some opportunities in the senior side, especially if they succeed in getting back to Europe next season.
