Arsenal are once again being linked with Napoli striker Victor Osimhen.
The Nigerian was on the Gunners’ radar back in 2020 when he played for Lille in France in Ligue 1. However, he subsequently moved to Italy instead, scoring 25 goals for Napoli in 55 appearances.
He missed part of this season due to injury, but has returned to coring ways since his return, scoring consecutive braces in recent games.
Newcastle United and Tottenham are also tracking his progress, and he could find himself the target of a bidding war in the summer.
Osimhen is under contract at the Serie A club until June 2025, and has a current transfer value of £50 million.
Both Arsenal and Tottenham are aware that, if they were to qualify for the Champions League next season, it would considerably enhance their ability to attract new players in the summer.
Newcastle, of course, may be able to offer them more money.
