Arsenal are prepared to offer young right back Brooke Norton Cuffy.
The 18-year old is spending the season on loan with League One Lincoln City and has impressed, despite being sent off in their win against AFC Wimbledon at the weekend.
His form has caught the eye of several other Premier League clubs, and there is also reported to be interest from abroad, but the Gunners have sought to forestall that by offering him a new long-term deal.
He is expected to agree.
Although Takehiro Tomiyasu has established himself as first choice right back since his arrival from Bologna last summer, he has been struggling with calf injuries in recent weeks, and Cedric Soares is deputising.
However, having allowed Calum Chambers to leave the club in January, and with both Hector Bellerín and Ainsley Maitland-Niles out on loan, the Gunners are short of cover in that position.
Norton Cuffy signed his first professional deal last summer and is under contract at the Emirates until 2023.
