Gabriel Martinelli said that he is happy to stay with Arsenal for the rest of his career.
He arrived at the Gunners aged 18, plucked from relatively obscurity in a Brazilian lower league team, but after struggling initially to adapt to life in London, he has adapted, and is now establishing himself at Premier League level.
Jurgen Klopp are amongst the admirers of the 20-year old, and has hinted that he would like to sign him for Liverpool.
However, he is more than happy in North London, and currently has no ambitions to move anywhere else, saying “if I can. I’ll stay here my whole life. I want to conquer things…and win titles, with the wonderful crowd, my teammates.”
Martinelli is under contract at the Emirates until June 2024, with the option for a further year, but there have been suggestions that the club will be looking to offer him a new improved deal in the summer to reflect his growing importance to Mikel Arteta’s side.
He score the third goal in Arsenal’s win against Watford on Sunday.
