The thinning of the ranks at the Emirates continues.
Earlier in the week it was confirmed that midfielder Matteo Guendouzi, currently on loan with Marseille, will be making the move permanent in the summer.
And now it seems that the same thing will happen with central defender Dinos Mavropanos.
The Greek is on loan with Bundesliga side Stuttgart, where he has been reunited with the man who brought him to North London in the first place, their current Director of Football Sven Mislintat, who was formerly head of recruitment with the Gunners.
There is an option to make that deal permanent as well and it now seems almost certain that the German club intend to exercise it.
The immediate benefit to the Gunners will be modest, with a fee of around £2.5 million expected for him.
However, they are expected to include a 10% sell-on fee in the agreement so would gain if he were then sold on by Stuttgart for a large profit.
