Leicester City are interested in signing young Chelsea defender Levi Colwill in the summer.
The 19-year old is currently on loan in the Championship with Huddersfield Town, and has impressed as the Yorkshire team have made a surprising push for promotion back to the Premier League.
Colwill, who is a centre back, came through the academy system at Chelsea, but has never played for the senior side and was sent to Huddersfield to gain first-team experience.
He has represented England at under-16, under-17, and under-18 level.
Leicester have made strengthening their defence a main priority when the transfer window opens again, having conceded 43 goals in 23 Premier League matches so far.
The Foxes wanted to sign Colwill in January, but Huddersfield managed to retain his services until the end of the season.
Chelsea may have a job to convince Colwill that their isa credible to the first-team with them, and, instead, like previously talented young defenders like Tariq Lamptey and Tino Livramento, he may decide his long=term future lies elsewhere.
