Leeds United winger Raphinha is being tracked by Chelsea.
The Brazilian was linked with a host of clubs in January, including Liverpool West Ham United and Bayern Munich, but in the end, remained at Elland Road.
Questions about his future remain though, and Chelsea retain an interest in a player that they have long coveted.
He joined Leeds in 2020 from French club Rennes, and has since gone on to play for the South Yorkshire side 52 times, scoring 14 goals and making a total of 25 goal contributions.
The 25-year old earned his first senior international call-up to the Brazilian national side last August, and has since gone on to garner seven senior caps. He has scored three goals in that time, most recently in the win over Paraguay at the start of this month.
He first came to the attention of Chelsea when their scouts watched goalkeeper Édouard Mendy who was playing for Rennes at the time.
Andy is an exiled English football fan living in Cyprus. He loves all sports but football is his abiding passion, and he still has dreams every now and then about scoring the winning goal in a Wembley Cup Final, even though his playing days are long gone. He follows most major leagues, across Europe at least, and has a favoured team in each. When he’s not watching, listening, reading or downloading podcasts about football, he spend his time worrying about his beloved Arsenal.
