Arsenal are one of the clubs that have been put on alert by the news that Belgian midfielder Youri Tielemans will not be extending his stay with Leicester City.
Tielemans, who famously scored the goal that won the FA Cup for Leicester last May is under contract until 2023, but the East Midlands club will now likely try and sell him in the summer, rather than allow him to leave for free 12 months after that.
The Gunners are likely to face competition from familiar names though, with Liverpool and Manchester United also interested in signing the 24-year old, who has 47 senior international caps for Belgium.
There were unconfirmed reports during the January window that Arsenal had already made contact with his representatives, although securing European football would seem to eb a minimum if they are to meet the player’s ambitions to be competing regularly for the top prizes.
