Real Madrid have added Arsenal full-back Kiernan Tierney to their list of summer transfer targets.
They are seeking a replacement for Marcelo, who is due to leave the La Liga side at the end of the season when his current contract runs out.
The Scot joined the Gunners in the summer of 2019 from Celtic, and has gone on to make 81 appearances for them in all competitions, scoring four times.
Last summer, he signed a new long-term contract with the Gunners.
He has been capped 58 times by Scotland.
There is no indication that Arsenal are willing to sell a player, who has been tipped as a future captain, and who is immensely popular with fans for his habit of wearing shirt sleeves, no matter the weather, and eschewing the trappings of stardom by turning up for matches with his wash things in a cheap super market bag.
