Arsenal complete keeper paperwork

Although Arenal did not make any signings during the January transfer window, they did agree a deal to sign USA international Matt Turner from MLS side New England Revolution.

And now it has been reported that all the necessary paperwork has been completed, and he is free to make his £7.5 million move in the summer, subject to him passing a medical and gaining a work permit.

That, in turn, will mean that Bernd Leno will be allowed to leave the Emirates at the end of the season.

The German began the season as number one with the Gunners, but was quickly supplanted by Aaron Ramsdale, preferred because he is better with the ball at his feet, and his distribution.

Leno, who did not take his usual place on the bench for then match at Wolves on Thursday because he contracted Covid, has been linked with a  move to Newcastle United, as well as several other clubs.
