Real Madrid have asked Arsenal about the availability of defender William Saliba who has been compared to Thiago Silva.
The 20-year old is currently on loan in Ligue 1 with Marseille, his third loan spell back in France since signing for the Gunners from Saint Étienne in the summer of 2019.
Although he has never yet played a senior game for Arsenal, he has been earning lots of praise for his performances back in France, and Real are just one of a number of clubs who are interested in signing him, with West Ham and Inter Milan among the others.
He will have two years left on his current contract in the summer at the Emirates, and previous indications are that he intends to return to London and fight for a first-team place next season.
However, given that Mikel Arteta has yet to be convinced by him, they may be tempted to sell if a good enough offer comes their way.
