It has now been reported that they were interested Ina third youngsters Zak Sturge. He is another left-back and plays for Brighton under-18s and the England national side at the same age level.
The Premier League side had two late bids to sign him turned down, but they have not given up hope, and could well be ready to renew their interest in the 17 year old in the summer.
They could face competition though – Bundesliga sides Wolfsburg and Bayer Leverkusen are also reported to be tracking his situation.
