William Saliba wants to return to Arsenal in the summer and compete for a first-team place next season.
He is currently on loan with Marseille, and there had been suggestions that he wanted to make the move permanent, although with the Ligue 1 potentially facing a transfer ban, the prospect of that has become more complicated.
Saliba who was signed from Saint-Étienne in the summer of 2019 has never made a senior appearance for the Gunners. Instead, he was loaned back to his parent club in his first season, and, after spending the first part of the 2020 -2021 campaign in limbo, playing the occasional reserve game, he returned to France with Nice.
Some have suggested that Saliba, who ahs impressed in Ligue 1, is disillusioned by the way he has been treated by the North London club. However, that now appears not to be the case.
