European giants make Aubameyang approaches

Both Barcelona and Juventus have made official approaches to take Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang on loan for the rest of the season.

The Gabonese striker was left out of the Gunners squad that has flown to Dubai for warm weather training, and has been training by himself, as options are being explored for him to leave the club before Monday’s deadline day.

Offers have already been made by to Saudi clubs to take him on loan, but with the Gabon international making it clear that he wants to stay in Europe, that has prompted interest from the European pair.

Discussions will now focus on who will pay how much towards his salary – currently £350,000 – and also the length of deal proposed. There are suggestions that Arsenal are looking for something beyond the four months that remain of the season.

Juventus are already in the process of acquiring Arsenal target Dusan Vlahović from Fiorentina, but are ready to pair him with Aubameyang.
