AC Milan are considering a move for Arsenal striker Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang.
The Gunners are open to offers for the 32-year old who has not paid for the club since being stripped of the captaincy for disciplinary reasons early in December.
Two Saudi clubs wanted to take the Gabonese forward on loan, with an option to buy, but Aubameyang has turned down the prospect of a move to the Middle East, because he wants to stay in Europe.
Milan find themselves short of striking options having terminated the loan of Pietro Pellegri.
They have signed Red Star Belgrade starlet Marko Laketić, but he may not yet be ready for Serie A, and both Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Olivier Giroud are both currently struggling with injuries.
One stumbling block for any club wanting to sign him is his current wages – Aubameyang is the highest paid player at the Emirates currently on £350,000 a week.
