Atlético Madrid are targeting a move for Chelsea left-back Marcos Alonso in the summer.
The Spanish international is currently playing regularly for Chelsea with Ben Chilwell out for the erst of the season with his cruciate ligament injury.
However, Chelsea are still hoping to signa replacement for him in the current window and, there is a feeling tat once Chilwell is back to fitness again, Alonso will once again find himself pushed down the pecking order at Stamford Bridge.
The Spanish side want to use him as a wing-back, recognising that his defensive abilities are not the strongest part of his game.
Alonso has 18 months left on his current deal in West London.
He is a graduate of the Real Madrid youth academy but only played one senior game for them before a spell in English football with Bolton Wanderers. He then moved to Italy and Fiorentina, before he joined Chelsea in 2016.
