Arsenal are edging closer to agreeing a deal for Juventus midfielder Arthur Mélo.
They want to take the Brazilian international on loan, but with the player wanting to make the move, the deal was being held up by Juventus who wanted to sign a replacement first, and also because they disagreed about the length of the loan.
Whilst the Gunners just wanted an initial six months, the Serie A side were looking for an 18 month period, and now they seem to have to have got their way.
Arthur’s agent flew to London late last week for further discussions with Edu, Arsenal’s Director of Football, , and now it is hoped that it can be agreed before transfer deadline day.
With Arsenal not having a fixture for more than two weeks. Arthur instead can expect to join his new team mates in their Dubai training camp, where they will be undergoing some warm weather training.
