Saudi club Al Nassr have made an offer to take Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang on loan from Arsenal.
The offer also includes an option to buy the Gabonese striker permanently.
Aubameyang is back in London where he is having medical checks after being withdrawn from Gabon’s match in the African Cup of Nations after suffering from reported heart lesions.
The 32-year old has not played for the club since being stripped of the captaincy in early December for disciplinary breaches.
And the Gunners have made it known they are prepared to listen to offers for the striker, although none have been received until now.
With his issues with the club and with manager Mikel Arteta still unresolved, there have been doubts expressed as to whether he will ever be seen in an Arsenal shirt again.
Saudi Arabia may not be where he imagined his next club would be based but, if the money is good, it may offer an acceptable escape route for both player and club.
