Thomas Tuchel has downplayed rumours lining England midfielder Ruben Loftus-Cheek with a loan move to Juventus.
He believes that he has no move to move to Italy to seek the opportunity to play regular football.
When Loftus-Cheek reported to duty at the start of the season, having spent the last campaign on loan with Fulham, it was widely assumed that he would be deemed surplus to requirements by the German.
However, he has since proved to be a valuable squad player, especially in recent weeks when even a club of Chelsea’s size have seen resources stretched very thin as a result of injury and the disruptions caused by Covid.
The 25-year old has still got more than two years on his contract and has made 18 appearances in all competitions this season. Despite that, he would not be an automatic starter for Tuchel when everybody is fit, so a move to the Serie A giants could be tempting.
