Serie A side Udinese want to take Arsenal defender Pablo Mari on loan for the rest of the season, although there is also interest from Sampdoria.
He originally joined the Gunners on loan from Flamengo two years ago, getting injured in one of his first games for the club and subsequently spending six months on the side-lines. His move was converted into a permanent move, but he found himself on the periphery of first-team action, especially since the signing of Gabriel.
The 28-year old has made just three appearances this season, two of those in the opening week, when others were not available due to a combination of injuries and Covid.
Reports from Italy suggest that Udinese will cover part of his salary, but the proposed deal does not include an option to buy.
Arsenal are not expected to stand in the way of the move which offers him the chance to lay regular football once more.
