Lazio are interested in Chelsea goalkeeper Kepa Arrizabalaga.
The Spaniard became the most expensive goalkeeper in the world when Chelsea signed him from Athletic Bilbao in 2018 for a fee of £71.6 million in August 2018, but it has not really worked out for him in West London, and since Édouard Mendy has joined the club, he has had to settle for the role of back-up and cup keeper.
Now the Italian club have expressed an interest in taking the 27-year-old, who is under contract at Stamford Bridge until 2025, although his weekly wages are reported to be a stumbling block.
No move though will occur in the current window because, with Mendy away at the African Cup of Nations, Kepa is now first-choice.
To avoid risking him the club gave a debut to Marcus Bettinelli in their FA Cup victory over National League side Chesterfield on Saturday.
