Arsenal full-back Sead Kolsinac has held talks with Ligue 1 side Marseille over a free transfer in the summer.
The Bosnian international is in the final year of his current contract at the Emirates and will not be offered a new deal.
He spent the second half of last season on loan with former club Schalke, but could not prevent them being relegated to Bundesliga 2, and that also scuppered their chances of taking up the option to buy him permanently.
He has made just three appearances for the Gunners this season, his most recent being a very late cameo in the disastrous FA Cup Third Round defeat to Nottingham Forest on Sunday.
Marseille, who currently are third in Ligue 1, already have two Arsenal players on their books in the form of William Saliba and Matteo Guendouzi, although the latter is likely to make his switch permanent at the end of the season.
