Aaron Ramsey will not be returning to the Emirates as an Arsenal player.
The 31-year-old will be leaving Juventus in the current transfer window, with manager Max Allegri describing him as an “outgoing” player.
He has already rejected a chance of a return to the Premier League with Burnley, preferring instead to join a more high-profile club.
That has inevitably led to speculation linking him to his former club, but, in reality, his profile does not fit the type of squad that Mikel Arteta is trying to build in North London.
Instead, Newcastle United, who have already signed England international Kieran Trippier in the current transfer window, appears a more likely destination for the Welshman.
Ramsey left the Emirates on a free transfer in 2019, but failed to really establish himself with the Serie A club, for whom he has made 69 appearances, and scored six goals.
