Romelu Lukaku may try and force a move to Tottenham in the summer.
The 28-year-old Belgian international was dropped from the Chelsea squad to play Liverpool in the Premier League on Sunday, after comments he made in an interview with an Italian TV station were published.
In it Lukaku said that he was unhappy with his role as a bit part player under Thomas Tuchel at Stamford Bridge and already regrets having left Inter Milan, he also made it clear that he wanted to play for the Serie A club once more.
Now there is speculation that he may try and engineer a reunion with Antonio Conte, the man under who he enjoyed Serie A title success, now in charge at Tottenham.
Whether Chelsea, already infuriated by Lukaku’s behaviour, would contemplate selling him to their bitter London rivals, is another question altogether.
