Chelsea are looking for defensive reinforcements in January, and one man they have in their sights is Barcelona full-back Sergio Dest.
Since Ben Chilwell got injured, there has been a noticeable drop off in quality with his replacement Marcos Alonso in the side, and, with the England international set for several more months out following the cruciate ligament injury he suffered. Thomas Tuchel wants to bring in more cover in the position.
Dest only joined the Catalans last year, but, although he made 41 appearances last season, the Spanish club are ready to listen to offers for him, as they contemplate a January fire sale to try and raise some much needed funds, ad also because of their needed to comply with Financial Fair Play Regulations.
Bayern Munich are also reported to be monitoring the situation of Dest, who is Dutch-born but plays his international football for the USA.
