Arsenal are willing to listen to offers for striker Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang.
He was stripped of the club captaincy after a disciplinary breach- the latest in a series of many – and has not featured on any of the matchday squads since.
Manager Mikel Arteta has not spoken publicly in any length about the matter, but relations between the two now seem to have broken down so far that they are willing to sell him if they get the right offer.
When the Gabonese striker signed a new three year deal in August 2020, it was taken as a sign of his long-term commitment to the club. However, that also coincided with his poorest season in an Arsenal shirt in terms of goals, and hs poor form continued into this campaign with some glaring misses before the most recent incident.
For any club wanting to sign him, his wages – £350,000 a week – remain a stumbling block.
