Sead Kolašinac has emerged as a January transfer target for Watford.
The Bosnian who joined Arsenal in 2017 on a free transfer from German side Schalke, is in the final year of his current contract at the Emirates, and would appear to have no future in North London, although he is currently recovering from an injury he picked up on international duty.
He spent the second half of last season back in the Bundesliga with his former club, but although they had the option to make the move permanent, their relegation to the second tier of German football meant they could not afford his wages.
Kolašinac has also been linked with a move to Turkey and a reunion with hs friend Mesut Ozil at Fenerbahçe.
However, now Watford could be ready to offer him a chance to stay in the Premier League, with manager Claudio Ranieri looking to sign experienced defensive options as he battles to keep his side in the Premier League.
Arsenal are unlikely to stand in the player’s way if he gets a decent offer in January.
