Abramovich angered by Real

Chelsea owner Roman Abramovich has been angered by Real Madrid’s pursuit of German defender Antonio Rüdiger.

And, in retaliation, he is considering abandoning the club’s attempts to sign back Eden Hazard from the Spanish club.

Rüdiger Is about to enter the fianl six months of his current contract at Stamford Bridge, and all attempts to get him to agree a new deal have so far fallen on deaf ears. Instead, he is being pursued by a host oof other clubs in England and Europe, the most aggressive of whom have been Real.

There have even been reports that he has agreed to join them on a free transfer next summer, although this has not been confirmed.

Abramovich has taken exception to the way that the Spaniards have been pursuing the matter, given that formal negotiations are only supposed to take place once the January window opens.

And that could lead to any move for Hazard, who has struggled since moving to Spain due to injuries and loss of form, being aborted.
