William Saliba is refusing to be drawn about his Arsenal future.
The central defender was signed from Saint Étienne in 2019 for £27 million as a teenager, but has never played for the Gunners in a senior competitive fixture.
Instead, he has enjoyed a series of loan moves back in France, and is currently paying for Marseille where he has established himself as a first team regular.
Eyebrows were raised when the Gunners spent £50 million on Ben White in the summer, despite the availability of Saliba who was sent back out on loan yet again.
Now, with the player only having two years left on his current deal at the end of the season, there is speculation that hs stay with Marseille could be converted into a permanent arrangement.
Saliba himself has refused to comment on those rumours, whilst Mikel Arteta has always insisted, publicly at least, that he has a future in North London.
