Midfielder Ainsley Maitland-Niles is once again being linked with an exit from the Emirates.
The 24 year old came close to joining Arsenal in the summer, but stayed with Arsenal after he was promised more game time by Mikel Arteta,
However, he remains a peripheral figure at the Emirates, having made just two Premier League starts, plus a handful of appearances of the bench, with only one of those before the 70 minute mark in games.
Feeling that he was kept at the club under false pretences, Maitland-Niles is likely again to demand that the club let him go when the January transfer window opens, with the player eager for more regular first-team football.
He has 18 months left on hs current deal, which means that the club realistically must decide on his future now. He was worth up to £30 million 18 months ago when he was an England international, but his lack of involvement since returning from his loan spell with West Bromwich Albion at the end of last season has diminished that value considerably.
