Newcastle considering Elneny move

Newcastle United are considering making a move for Arsenal’s Mohamed Elneny in the January window,

The Egyptian is in the fianl year of his contract in North London and is likely to leave the club with no signs of him being offered a renewal. He has been linked with a  move to Turkey with Fenerbahçe having reportedly made contact with the player’s representatives. Istanbul rivals Galatasaray and Beșiktaş, with whom he has previously spent a season on loan are also reported to be tracking his situation.

However, now Newcastle could be ready to hijack that, although he will not be immediately available to them if they do sign him because he will be away with his country at AFCON.

Elneny has only started one Premier League game so far this season, the defeat last week at Manchester United, and has been used sparingly by Mikel Arteta in all competitions this season, which he has spent largely on the bench.
