Arsenal have identified Everton striker Dominic-Calvert Lewin as a top transfer target.
They want him to replace Alexander Lacazette his contract expires at the end of this season.
England international Calvert-Lewin has played just three times this season, with a fractured toe confining him to the side-lines.
However, despite his lack of playing time that ahs not stopped other clubs showing interest in him, with Arsenal leading the list of admirers.
He is under contract until 2025, but, recently manager Rafael Benitez has admitted that the club may be willing to sell him, hinting “Some clubs have been selling players at the right time, and with the money they received they improved the squad”.
The two sides meet at Goodison Park in the Premier League on Monday night, but Calvert-Lewin will not be involved as he continues his rehabilitation from his injury.
The player himself has indicated that, whilst he is happy at Everton, his ambitions are to play in the Champions League and win trophies.
